I am an Occupational Therapist and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare. Since beginning my career in 1998, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse populations across a variety of clinical and community-based settings.

Throughout my occupational therapy career, I developed a particular passion for working with children and individuals with disabilities. This interest led me to pursue advanced education in sensory processing and obtain certification in the administration of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT). My professional experience has given me a comprehensive understanding of how physical, sensory, and environmental factors can influence comfort, independence, and overall quality of life.

In 2017, I made the decision to step away from clinical practice to devote my time to raising my two children. After both of my children left home to attend college, I returned to professional practice and began exploring opportunities to expand my knowledge and the services I could provide.

My interest in the lymphatic system developed from a deeply personal experience while helping care for my father during his battle with pancreatic cancer. During that time, I became increasingly interested in the lymphatic system and its important role in the body. With my background as a healthcare professional, I was inspired to learn more about Manual Lymphatic Drainage and how this gentle, specialized technique could be used to support comfort and overall well-being.

I pursued specialized training through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), where I became certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage using the Vodder technique. This training has allowed me to build upon my extensive healthcare background while developing a new area of professional practice that is especially meaningful to me.

Today, I am grateful to combine decades of healthcare experience with my specialized training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage. My approach is centered on providing compassionate, individualized care and creating an environment in which each client feels comfortable, respected, and supported. I am excited to share my passion for MLD and help my clients experience the benefits this specialized form of care can provide.
